Trip to the beach

Thursday night I left Clemson after work for my 3 day vacation. I went to Lexington and picked up my two cousins, Jed and Rebecca. We drove down to Moncks Corner to spend the night. I was driving my aunt's huge suburban. It was a lot different after having driven my little Ford Escort.

After spending Thursday night in Moncks Corner, I had to get up Friday morning early and go to the dentist. I had one chipped cavity and one cavity that was leaking - whatever that means. They fixed both of them and the entire lower part of my mouth was numb for hours. We then loaded up the car again and went to Litchfield beach for the rest of the weekend. After unloading the car and eating lunch we drove to North Myrtle Beach to go the Alligator Adventure park. It was interesting seeing all the alligators, snakes, crocodiles, etc. After that we went back to the condo and made dinner and watched Fat Albert. It was a pretty funny movie.

On Saturday, I got up early to go out on the beach but it was cloudy and windy. I just read for a while and then went out to the beach when the sun came out. I spend most of the morning and afternoon reading and sleeping on the beach. I got burnt on my back and it still hurts. I did go in the water for a little while with Rebecca but the waves were really rough so we didn't stay in long. We swam in the pool for a little while. We ate dinner that night at the Seafare buffet. The food is ok but they have a lot of variety. Then we played putt-putt and went to the mall. After finally getting home late we watched Garfield. It was ok. I just don't understand why Garfield is computer animated and the other animals in the movie are real animals.

On Sunday we got up and watched the last movie we had rented - Without A Paddle. It was funny. Then we got ready to leave and cleaned the condo. We went back to Moncks Corner to eat lunch with my dad and hang out for a little while for Father's Day. Then we went back to Lexington to drop off my cousins and get my car back. I saw my aunt who is not doing too good. After her kidney surgery she developed a clot in her lung and they are giving her blood thinners for that. I left the hospital and got back into Central about 8pm. I unpacked and went to bed early since I was exhausted from the trip. Way too much to cram into one weekend. Next time I think I am going to take more time off work. Hope everyone had a good weekend.
