DuPont State Forest - two waterfalls and Covered Bridge

 We started at the Visitor Center and hiked to the covered bridge and then went to Bridal Veil Falls and High Falls before heading back to the visitor center.  It was a little chilly at the start and we saw some ice on the trail.  It was 7.5 M with 456 EG.  It's the purple track in the picture below.

New Year's Day in Paris Mountain SP

Led a hike in Paris Mountain on New Year's Day.  Started at Shelter A/B.  Then followed the Mountain Creek Trail to the Lake Placid Loop.  Then back on a mountain Creek trail back to the Sassafras Loop.  Then had lunch at Sulphur Springs Shelter before heading back to the cars.  It was 5.5 M and 508 EG.

Lake Whelchel Loop

 Hiked the Lake Whelchel Loop.  This is in Gaffney, SC.  I had never hiked it in the winter before and it was nice because you could see more of the lake.  They had some damage from Helene but it was all cleared off the trail.  They were working on another loop trail while we were there that they said was 2.5 Miles.  Not sure if elevation but the area is pretty flat.  The loop we did was 8 M and 350 EG.

Asbury Hills

Did a hike at Asbury Hills camp.  I had never been here before.  On one of the trails we had to go around a lot of blowdowns so there was some bushwhacking involved.  The main trials were pretty clear but this one was not a marked trail.  You have to call ahead and get a code to get into the gate at the camp.  There is plenty of parking and bathrooms in the dinning hall.  We did about 5.6 M with 851 EG.
