This is one I do a lot since it's only 30 minutes from me. Started out with the Natural Bridge Trail and then did the Raven Rock Trail. They both have loops with a straight trail in between. It's always a nice view from Raven Rock of Lake Keowee and seeing the natural bridge is interesting. It's 4.2 M 751 EG

Civil War hike at Lake Russell WMA
This was a new area for me in Toccoa GA. We basically did a big loop with a few stops off trail to see some historic sites. It was an interesting area. We drove to the top of the road after the hike to see a gorgeous view. It was 5.4 M and 555 EG.
Walhalla Fish Hatchery to Spoonauger Falls
This was an in and out hike to Spoonauger Falls and back. We descended the East Fork Trail to the Chatooga River and turned South to the Spoonauger Falls Trail. Nice trail with some water crossings. The falls are really nice and have two viewing areas. Trail is a little slippery on the way up. The hike was 7.7 M and 870 EG.
NC Arboretum - Thomas Dambo Trolls
We hiked from Hard Times and Bent Creek Roads to the NC Arboretum and then around the Arboretum to see the Trolls. We also went into the visitor center and gift shops to look around. It ended up being 6.3 M and 368 EG. The trolls are there until Feb 17, 2026 and worth the trip to see them.
