We did an out and back hike following the foothills trail to the Palmetto trail down to the Rock Mountain View Point. We returned via the Carolina Hemlock Trail. This hike was 7.1 M and 1138 EG. It's the darker blue trail below.

Gorges SP - Upper Bearwallow, Rainbow, Turtleback, and Drift Falls
This is always a nice hike because you see 4 Waterfalls. Started at the Rainbow Falls Trailhead to go to the three waterfalls. Rainbow Falls is always spectacular. Turtleback Falls is fun because you can see people slide down sometimes. Drift Falls is on private property but you can see it well without going on the property. The second hike is from the visitor center to the Upper Bearwallow Falls platform and back.The first hike was 4.4 M 1112 EG. The second hike was 1.9 M 378 EG.
Highlands NC area - Pickelseimer Falls
This trail was new to me and was off of highway 28 leaving Highlands. It was a nicely maintained trail to a falls with a rock wall behind it. Didn't take long but can be a little hard to find. Go down 28 from Highlands and turn right onto Blue Valley Rd and go 3.6 M and then turn left and go 0.6 M to the trailhead. The hike was 1.3 M and 214 EG.
Paris Mountain
Started at Shelter A/B. Then followed the Mountain Creek Trail to the Lake Placid Loop. Then back on a mountain Creek trail back to the Sassafras Loop. Then back to the cars. It was 6.2 M and 475 EG. It's the green trail below.
