Carvers Gap

Camped at Roan Mountain SP the last weekend in April.  While there we hiked from Carvers Gap to Grassy Ridge.  Beautiful mountain views the entire way.  It was about 10-15° colder than at the camp site and very windy.  Part of the hike was on the Appalachian trail.  It was 4.8 M with 1013 EG.  Three different mountain peaks along the way.  In the map below the trail is the white line with orange border.  Then the elevation profile is below.
